Brief Statement of Duties: |
Provide clerical support for the Student Leader Fellowship Program, Northern Arts and Entertainment, the Special Events Committee, Northern Michigan Artist Discovery, Campus Cinema, Leadership Scholars, and the Center for Student Enrichment. |

Three years of progressive office experience (financial management, support for managers/departments, scheduling meetings, document preparation, etc.). |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: |
Excellent customer/personal service skills needed to develop/maintain relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community members. Ability to multi-task with attention to detail in a very demanding, busy office environment with frequent walk-in and telephone call customer service functions. Possess excellent time-management and organizational skills to deal with a variety of complex clerical duties simultaneously. Possess initiative and ability to work independently, monitor and purchase office supplies, establish and maintain complex physical and electronic filling systems, and update multiple web pages. Possess excellent oral and written communication and comprehension skills and critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to accurately and efficiently operate departmental equipment to include any combination of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic calendaring, Power Point, Access, e-mail, Internet or web-based applications. Ability to generate expense reports, monitor multiple budgets, and create quarterly budget reports. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team. |

General knowledge of the university and its organization. Experience interacting with faculty, staff, students, and community members. Two years' program/project/event planning and coordination work experience. One year of supervisory experience. Experience with CRM systems. Coursework in office administration or related field. |
