Brief Statement of Duties
Brief Statement of Duties: This position requires teaching 12 credit hours per semester and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and academic advising. This is a campus based position. It covers teaching and service responsibilities appropriate for the rank of Assistant Professor.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Doctorate or equivalent terminal degree
Discipline / Degree Area: Political Science
Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Ancient, Medieval modern, and American political theory, and American government.
Required Minimum Work Experience: Earned Ph.D. at the time of appointment. Required minimum work experience appropriate for an assistant professor which includes some academic and teaching experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties: Ability to teach modern political theory, ancient political theory, American political theory, American government and introduction to political science. Excellent oral and written communication skills and time management skills. Commitment to undergraduate education and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
